Tattu Birmingham
Tattu Birmingham was designed by Edwin Pickett, Founder and Interior Designer of Hospitality Design Studio Ltd, who led the project from concept development through to completion.
Located within the historic basement of Birmingham's Grand Hotel, Tattu transforms the space into a luxury Chinese-inspired dining destination. The restaurant interior design is rooted in a 'Modern Asian' concept, drawing on the philosophy of Yin and Yang to create a balanced and immersive environment.
The lower-level dining space reflects Yin, with dark, atmospheric interiors, bespoke cherry blossom installations and intricate timber detailing, creating a refined and intimate restaurant setting. In contrast, the ground floor bar and dining areas embody Yang, featuring lighter tones, dynamic layouts and vibrant design elements.
This project showcases Edwin Pickett's expertise in hospitality interior design, combining cultural storytelling, premium materials and innovative lighting to deliver a distinctive, high-end dining experience in Birmingham. The design balances creativity with operational functionality, creating a memorable hospitality environment that enhances the guest experience.
